Family and friends gathered together to visit Static.

    Watching ths video made me think of an aunt who passed away a few years ago. The first year after a few of us met there and brought flowers and some other things to place at her grave. One of her brothers brought roses. Well, one of my cousins, her grandson took the roses. Nigga told me he had a date that night and the flowers were going to waste there. I started to laugh. Some people weren't as amused as I was. Some were cying, I never do. The ones who hadn't let go didn't see the humour and couldn't understand what he was trying to do.

    I guess what i'm trying to say is that it makes me glad to see his family and friends smiling.

    Aye that's real bravery i thought the same thng watchin this..they was in good spirits. Much love to Avonti and the rest of Static's fam. And Neezy too. Yall all stay in my prayers.

Released with no real promotion (but Louisville resident as i know, had this mixtape for a while), i guess lot of us didn't know about it until lately. This is for the hood lovers, got Lil Flip on it, Young Sears productions, it's OG Music here! We also got Playa songs on it. I guess Static wanted to give us just a taste of what Suppertime could be, the "Vol. 1" meaned it had to has other volume coming, but for this one like i said, it's OG Music except the last track... Taura "Aura" Jackson talks about "Crazy" and Static Major

I've posted some information on the blog exclusive joint "Crazy" by Aura already, but I figured it would make more sense if we heard it straight from her, because she was actually there. So here is the very talented Aura talking about the history of the track: I was signed to Atlantic at the time. Gee Roberson was my A&R and he manages Kanye. Kanye came to the studio and had forgotten his records, but I'm an avid Joni Mitchell fan and had some of her records there. It was like magic watching Kanye work. He crafted that beat like it was a priceless sculpture. When it started to come together Gee, who managed Static at that time too said "What do you think about Static co-writing with you?" Well, I was ecstatic, pun fully intended. Within an hour or so, Static came over.
