Here is the instrumental to the Rudy produced smash hit "On The Hotline" by Pretty Ricky



The beat in the song is a combination of samples taken from the Isley Brothers' "Between the Sheets", Grandmaster Flash's "The Message" and Newcleus' "Jam On It", not to mention Rick James' hit single Mary Jane.

I should also mention again that Static wrote an entirely different song called "After Dark" to the same beat.

    I personally luv AFTER DARK, man he was to good at his craft, to turn around and make a hit with the members of pretty ricky , dude is out of this world STATIC MAJOR ........4life

Taura "Aura" Jackson talks about "Crazy" and Static Major

I've posted some information on the blog exclusive joint "Crazy" by Aura already, but I figured it would make more sense if we heard it straight from her, because she was actually there. So here is the very talented Aura talking about the history of the track: I was signed to Atlantic at the time. Gee Roberson was my A&R and he manages Kanye. Kanye came to the studio and had forgotten his records, but I'm an avid Joni Mitchell fan and had some of her records there. It was like magic watching Kanye work.
