Thank You All...

Whats up people? I just wanted to personally thank each and everyone of you that take the time out to visit our blog. For me this is more than just a blog, its a chance to keep the memory alive of my best friend in the world. It really means a lot when I come on here and read the different posts that you all leave. I frequently talk to his moms and one of the things that she said to me was that this blog is the realest thing that she has seen that represents her sons legacy. With that being said I would personally like to thank Team Static (Slam, Farid, Buddha, Dimu and TalkingCrazy) for helping me to keep my homies memory alive. For me he was more than just a musician, he was a brother! I am humbled by you all.

    Man we have known each other like twenty years now, its crazy that Steve is physically moved on , such a good dude, who would eva think that skinny lil dude spittin in the cypha in HARRISONS dungeon would blow up like the world trade , we all have memories u more than most, just hope that u continue to share with the world to show who Stephen Ellis Garrett is .Thx NEEZE for all , u a Real Dude and tru friend for doing what u do and have done.. 4life....keep it Pushin

Tipsy (3:23) I've heard back in 2005 somebody talk about that "Suppertime Mixtape", but i found it in 2008, & unfortunaly, the mixtape was just available in mp3 format. Released with no real promotion (but Louisville resident as i know, had this mixtape for a while), i guess lot of us didn't know about it until lately. This is for the hood lovers, got Lil Flip on it, Young Sears productions, it's OG Music here! We also got Playa songs on it. I guess Static wanted to give us just a taste of what Suppertime could be, the "Vol. 1" meaned it had to has other volume coming, but for this one like i said, it's OG Music except the last track... Playa - 30 years To Life (Movie Soundtrack)

I've seen some of you talkin about the song "She Ain't So Bad", one of my fav Playa song, even if we just could hear a snippet of the song. Actually i think Static is doin it solo. The song contains a sample, from Barry White - Our Theme, released in 1981. Static singin' is amazing, it fits perfectly with the movie theme, deep feelings about women/men relationships. The movie was originally done in 2001, & the dvd was released in 2003, but the soundtrack never came out, & some songs that was played in the movie stayed unreleased til this day. Here's what was playin in the movie: You can see another Playa song called "Baby Girl", song is actually "Lust" but an earlier version, beat is the same, but lyrics on the chorus & vocal arrangements are differents.
