As we showed you earlier, there were a bunch of songs on that Aaliyah CD that Neeze showed us, and one of them was called "Danc'n". Is this the same track?
You betcha it is.
This song by E.T. Selfish was produced by Keybeats and written by Digital Black.
enjoy!
Here is the song in CDQ. Thanks to ET for sending this joint!
And here is some background information about the song, straight from ET himself:
As far as the story behind recording Danc'in. When the family got back from Australia, everybody set up shop in LA to mix the Aaliyah album. We were in the studio one day (Digital Black, KeyBeats & Selfish). Black & E. Seats pulled up the track and told us to go to work on it. The song already had Aaliyah's vocals on it from when Digital Black wrote the song in Australia. So of course when KeyBeats & Black offered it to us, we wanted to kill it. We wanted everybody to here it and relate. We wanted to make you feel like you were in the club, on the dance floor, getting it in till they turn on the lights.
Make sure you holla at him on myspace @ http://www.myspace.com/etselfish

ReplyDeleteYes FINALLY something new from Baby Girl! This sounds very promising! I'm going crazy though, not being able to listen to the full song! (It's coming, right? xD)
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge fan of both Static & Aaliyah and I've been following this blog for some time now and I just wanna say that I really appreciate all of the hard work that you guys put in to this blog, giving us fans the exclusive songs like this one, but more importantly just keeping the legacy of these two amazing artists alive!
Keep up the good work!

I might be mistaken, but it doesn't sound like Aaliyah. Or her vox were protool-ed to death. I just can't buy it's Her singing, judging by these 2 seconds&with an audio tag. Might be wrong, of course. Thanks a lot, guys, 4 digging up Aaliyah tracks, I really hope to hear more from Her.
ReplyDelete@anonymous I doubt any unreleased Aaliyah material will be released officially...
ReplyDelete@purple it is Aaliyah. The song is a myspace rip which explains the quality
Love it but u guys cut off the chorus :(
ReplyDeleteI still love yall
I think you guys should respect her family and allow them to do with her material as they please. Besides rashad confirmed on his Twitter that some big things are about to happen. Plus her label just signed a new distribution deal. So sounds like we will hear more aaliyah just have to be patient.
ReplyDeleteOH MY. GOSH.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much <3
That was Aaliyah FOR SURE.
I'm sad that the chorus got cut off but thank you for the snip :)
LiLi will never be forgotten.
There's so much we haven't heard yet.
This is just the beginning.
Please stop saying there is going to be a 10th year anniversary, because its not rashad and alot of sources has made it evidently clear. there will be NOTHING new from aaliyah this is our only hope.
ReplyDeleteits good to hear "new" Aaliyah, can't wait to hear the rest of the hook...I'm sure this would never make anything they'd release
ReplyDeleteSOUPED!!!!
ReplyDeleteWow.. still making them hits.
