Music: E.T. Selfish ft. Aaliyah - Danc'n (CDQ)

As we showed you earlier, there were a bunch of songs on that Aaliyah CD that Neeze showed us, and one of them was called "Danc'n". Is this the same track?

You betcha it is.

This song by E.T. Selfish was produced by Keybeats and written by Digital Black.

enjoy!

Here is the song in CDQ. Thanks to ET for sending this joint!

And here is some background information about the song, straight from ET himself:
As far as the story behind recording Danc'in. When the family got back from Australia, everybody set up shop in LA to mix the Aaliyah album. We were in the studio one day (Digital Black, KeyBeats & Selfish). Black & E. Seats pulled up the track and told us to go to work on it. The song already had Aaliyah's vocals on it from when Digital Black wrote the song in Australia. So of course when KeyBeats & Black offered it to us, we wanted to kill it. We wanted everybody to here it and relate. We wanted to make you feel like you were in the club, on the dance floor, getting it in till they turn on the lights.

Make sure you holla at him on myspace @ http://www.myspace.com/etselfish

  5. Yes FINALLY something new from Baby Girl! This sounds very promising! I'm going crazy though, not being able to listen to the full song! (It's coming, right? xD)

I'm a huge fan of both Static & Aaliyah and I've been following this blog for some time now and I just wanna say that I really appreciate all of the hard work that you guys put in to this blog, giving us fans the exclusive songs like this one, but more importantly just keeping the legacy of these two amazing artists alive!

    Keep up the good work!

  6. I might be mistaken, but it doesn't sound like Aaliyah. Or her vox were protool-ed to death. I just can't buy it's Her singing, judging by these 2 seconds&with an audio tag. Might be wrong, of course. Thanks a lot, guys, 4 digging up Aaliyah tracks, I really hope to hear more from Her.

  7. @anonymous I doubt any unreleased Aaliyah material will be released officially...

@purple it is Aaliyah. The song is a myspace rip which explains the quality

  9. I think you guys should respect her family and allow them to do with her material as they please. Besides rashad confirmed on his Twitter that some big things are about to happen. Plus her label just signed a new distribution deal. So sounds like we will hear more aaliyah just have to be patient.

Tipsy (3:23) I've heard back in 2005 somebody talk about that "Suppertime Mixtape", but i found it in 2008, & unfortunaly, the mixtape was just available in mp3 format. Released with no real promotion (but Louisville resident as i know, had this mixtape for a while), i guess lot of us didn't know about it until lately. This is for the hood lovers, got Lil Flip on it, Young Sears productions, it's OG Music here! We also got Playa songs on it. I guess Static wanted to give us just a taste of what Suppertime could be, the "Vol. 1" meaned it had to has other volume coming, but for this one like i said, it's OG Music except the last track... Edit: You can listen & buy the mixtape here U

Music: Static Major - Questions (Aaliyah's Demo) (UPDATE WITH FULL SONG)

As we all know, Static & Aaliyah were close, you can feel the chemistry between the writer and the singer, and Static most impressive talent was his ability to write for a woman, to express a woman's feeling. So there's the song "Questions" produced by Buddha, wrote & sung by Static, a demo song for Aaliyah, made around 2000-2001 i think. I don't know yet if she had the chance to record it for herself, but Static version shows his falsetto skills, he wrote for a woman, & even sing the demo like Aaliyah should sing it, amazing! Stay tune for a snippet listening, something rare that i'm sure you don't wanna miss! UPDATE: Here is the first installment of Static Music Monday.

Album: Playa - Throwback Legendz

I'm sure a lot of you have already heard most, if not all, of the album. Smokey has been selling it on his website and I've also been uploading the songs on Youtube. So instead of choosing one of those two options, we've decided to let everyone download this unreleased classic album for free. And I bet a lot of you could probably care less because you've heard every song already right? Wrong. Check out the final version of "Hollywood" that was not included in Smokey's unreleased Playa compilation. So consider this an exclusive courtesy of www.staticmajorismusic.com Big shout-out to Farid for hooking me up with this track and also the entire album in CDQ. http://www.4shared.com/file/H5qAKnAu/Playa_-Throwback_Legendz__2002.html
