  5. Yea I agree with everyone else. I know Pleasure is a big fan or looks up to him but yea remaking his songs is not whats up. Any song at that. I would understand if Static was still here but he pasted and he was an underrated artist so were trying to hear his stuff that he came out with on his own.

  6. why is pp remaking everything over??? he needs to switch his style up at least.

  7. Im sorry but, no one will ever touch static's status.....

  8. hey guys this is a MIXTAPE. of course hes not being disrespectful, hes jus rappin over his homies beat just like other mixtapes. people rap over tupac biggie tunes who passed away aswell. theyre not being disrespectful. Jus chill...

  9. The difference is that other rappers freestyle over beats. Pleasure just redid the song with the same lyrics. And on top of that, it didn't sound GOOD. That's the only problem I have with Pleasure doing some of these Static songs. If he re-records them and they turn out good (like Illusion and Patience) then I wouldn't be complaining at all. There are some songs I know Pleasure could do well and then there are songs like "I Got My" that only Static can pull off.

  10. yeh i kno buddha but do you think that this is disrespectful though, cos m sure he did not mean it to be. i think its probs to be more of a tribute gone wrong.

  11. It would have at least been nice if P shout out Static's name in the song so the listeners would know that it was a Static song. A lot of general listeners only care about who is performing the song. Oh well, I guess we all have our different views on this.

  12. I agree with Buddha. The average fan will have no idea it's a Static song, and if they don't know, then it's doing nothing to keep his memory alive.

  13. yes...i didn't even thnk about that buddha and slam...where's the "RIP Static"?!! ..Yea i take my comment back..he's a mark. Straight up. That's weak shit...

  14. Its not a tribute. He just took the whole song. Who would know that it was done by Static if they never heard the real version. You keep his memory alive by keeping him in your music and shouting him out. I dont see P doing that consistently. His only thing is to take the songs that Static did for him and try to put them out as his own. Get the fuck out of here... Your a lame!!!!

  15. I really tried to like his take on it but it just doesn't sound right man. Pleasure should just concentrate on doing his own thing, release some of the stuff that static wrote for him that suits his style you know.

Tipsy (3:23) I've heard back in 2005 somebody talk about that "Suppertime Mixtape", but i found it in 2008, & unfortunaly, the mixtape was just available in mp3 format. Released with no real promotion (but Louisville resident as i know, had this mixtape for a while), i guess lot of us didn't know about it until lately. This is for the hood lovers, got Lil Flip on it, Young Sears productions, it's OG Music here! We also got Playa songs on it. I guess Static wanted to give us just a taste of what Suppertime could be, the "Vol. 1" meaned it had to has other volume coming, but for this one like i said, it's OG Music except the last track... Edit: You can listen & buy the mixtape here U

Music: Static Major - Questions (Aaliyah's Demo) (UPDATE WITH FULL SONG)

As we all know, Static & Aaliyah were close, you can feel the chemistry between the writer and the singer, and Static most impressive talent was his ability to write for a woman, to express a woman's feeling. So there's the song "Questions" produced by Buddha, wrote & sung by Static, a demo song for Aaliyah, made around 2000-2001 i think. I don't know yet if she had the chance to record it for herself, but Static version shows his falsetto skills, he wrote for a woman, & even sing the demo like Aaliyah should sing it, amazing! Stay tune for a snippet listening, something rare that i'm sure you don't wanna miss! UPDATE: Here is the first installment of Static Music Monday.

Album: Playa - Throwback Legendz

I'm sure a lot of you have already heard most, if not all, of the album. Smokey has been selling it on his website and I've also been uploading the songs on Youtube. So instead of choosing one of those two options, we've decided to let everyone download this unreleased classic album for free. And I bet a lot of you could probably care less because you've heard every song already right? Wrong. Check out the final version of "Hollywood" that was not included in Smokey's unreleased Playa compilation. So consider this an exclusive courtesy of www.staticmajorismusic.com Big shout-out to Farid for hooking me up with this track and also the entire album in CDQ. http://www.4shared.com/file/H5qAKnAu/Playa_-Throwback_Legendz__2002.html
