Dub was the man behind a lot of the Bad Boy music when they were on top of the game. Also he was one of the producer that went with us to Austrailia to record the "Red Album".. He produced Steady Ground as well.. Hes major to the game..Please help us with questions for this interview. It is hard for us without your input. Thanks and lets keep this thing going for all of the true Static Major fans out there....
ReplyDeleteCould you ask him about working process with Aaliyah? The whole recording session, how they went. Was Static always there & how he & Aaliyah worked. What are the stories behind the songs, what was Aaliyah's thoughts on them. How did Steady Ground happened & why it wasn't released? What Static pursue with his lyrics for Aaliyah? Just more insight on the songs.
ReplyDeleteThis is legendary. J Dub is a musical genius, crazy wit the beats and the keys. His craziest joint is probably that joint with Faith Evans and 112. oh and the other joints off Keep the Faith. Did some crazy joints for Tank and Smoke. Many others, the dude is mad talented. Big fan of J-Dub.
ReplyDeleteAsk J-Dub , How did the remix of Toni Braxton's "Maybe" come about?
ReplyDeleteyou should ask him how he first got in the game, how he got in with Bad Boy, how he met Playa, how he got brought in to work on Aaliyah's album, and what was it like working in that creative environment with other great musical minds such as Playa, Aaliyah, Timbaland, Bud'da, ...
ReplyDeleteWow, everyone took my questions!lol. You can ask him what is his process in how he approaches making music with artists; who are his favorite artists to work with, what are his plans for the future?
ReplyDeleteAsk him about the remix he did to "Rose in a Concrete World" by Joe on the Romeo Must Die Soundtrack...that beat iz nutz!!!
ReplyDeletecould you ask him if he did any more tracks with Aaliyah, and if so, which ones and are they going to be released? Also ask him which (unreleased) tracks he did for playa/static
