I'm sure I won't win a "most creative question" award for this one but..ask him what his impression was of Static when he first met him. Not necessarily just his first impression, jus in general when they first started bein around each other.. And how they met.
ReplyDeleteaww yall should do a skype session!!!! what does he think of the whole playa movement n the fall of it all??
ReplyDeleteDoes he plan on working with Timbaland in the Future?
ReplyDeletelooking forward to this...should be interesting!
ReplyDeleteCan he and Black get together and do a couple of club dates or something? I just want to let you guys know that pound for pound, Playa is one of the greatest groups I have ever heard. Not only could EVERY member sing (and I mean KILL it), but the material was tight as hell. The runs on the Cheers to You album are just plain ridiculous. There's a lot of us who feel this way about y'all.
ReplyDeletehim n black r actually doing dates in dif places here lately! i cant wait for it tho..ask smoke what his fav song of his is
ReplyDeleteok says tuesday the 2nd? but today is tuesday n its the 3rd!!!lol so when is it actually??? n i think yall should skype so we could have fun with yall..lol
ReplyDelete@ Jerrilyn, I totally agree. Wasn't there for the first go round. Would love to see them in VA! Ask Smokey how he feels about his success now looking back at how hard he worked...from Da Bassment Days onward. Also, does he feel it's hard to stay relevant in the music business?
ReplyDeleteyou can ask him about his production, how he got into making beats & what were some things he picked up being around the other Bassment producers (DeVante, Dalvin, Tim, Stevie J ...)
ReplyDeletealso ask about the process of writing & producing the Cheers 2 U album
ReplyDeleteWill this be posted the same day? I have to go in for a couple of hours and will miss it.
ReplyDeleteBravery
It should be.
ReplyDeleteAsk hime how those joints with Teddy Riley came about?
ReplyDeleteBravery
Cool! Aks him if he's gonna release any more playa material.
ReplyDeleteASK HIM WHAT HE WPORKIN ON NOW , AND DOES HE HAVE ANY PLAYA FOOTAGE OR DEMOS IN THE VAULT.
ReplyDeleteI have read a lot of different interviews that suggest that you and Static were not on good terms and had not been for years. Would you mind elaborating on that? I know how gossip is and I would just like to hear it from the Horses mouth so to speak.... BTW...I love your music. Angel is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteAsk him whats going on with him and G.No at the moment, (are they working together on an album etc.). Also tell him that he looks like Winky wright:D
ReplyDeleteI really like this interview. Smokey is really insightful.
ReplyDeleteI had a lot of fun doing this interview, and Smoke made it real easy by expanding on a lot of things and giving great insight. Smoke is a great dude as you can tell!

ReplyDeleteThanks for putting this interview together guys,I have always been a big supporter of your music Smoke i remember when you first released personal pain and pleasure i recieved the actual cd in the mail and you had signed a picture of yourself in there. Also you not only did that but because it was released a little late you sent an exclusive track to me. I just wanna say thankyou Smoke it's that type of interaction with your fans that means so much to us, i got all your albums and will continue to support true R&B not only with my words but like you said with my actions. Dope interview keep doing what you're doing. A Major fan from Australia Sebastian.
