Here is the second Aaliyah refresher for everyone. It actually took me a while to LOVE this song, especially when I compare it to "We Need A Resolution" and "Don't Know What To Tell Ya". It still hasn't really completely caught onto me yet, but I know a lot of people love this song.
Nevertheless, ths song does contain great lyrics courtesy of Static and the video is great; Aaliyah looked GREAT in this video.
And here is the alternate version of the video:
And here is the sample of the song by Maya El Hennawy:
I can confirm to all of you that Neeze does have Static's demo of this song, so stay tuned!
Oh...My....God...Does Neeze really have the demo?? wow I'd love to hear that. This song is a classic, it amazes me how the entire Red Album never gets old. RIP to the King and Queen of music! If those ohter Aaliyah songs (the australian ones) sound anything like the red album then...damn
ReplyDeleteI love her alternatives video..she looks very very beautiful there :)
ReplyDeletethis was the first song I heard from Red album and I loved it from first listen! That's why I borrowed a cd from my friend and that's how Aaliyah started to be my #1 idol. Few days later she was gone... And the video is definetely one of my favourite, she looks absolutely stunning in every second!
ReplyDeleteI liked this song as a kid but I'm loving it as a grown woman lol. I also love original song because Egyptian music is bomb.
ReplyDeleteIm totally in love with this song since first time I heard it, it never ges old and it sounds timess to me. Just like the whole red album.
ReplyDeleteIts so funny because when Static first heard the track he wrote a completely different song to it. after listening to the song he decided that he didn't like it. That's when we went back in the studio with Timbaland and he wrote the record that you hear today. I have a demo of the first song that he wrote. I will share that with you all in due time.
ReplyDeleteI love the background vocals and modulations on this track. It's a shame Static is so underrated because he actually KNOWS music and how to arrange it and create the complex harmonies and melodies.
