Static Tribute Guest Feature: Smoke E. Digglera

As many of you know, we're going to have a lot of guests on the 25th, so what I'm going to do is feature one of the guests each day so you know what's to come.

And we start off with Smokey aka Smoke E. Digglera, who will take us through the journey from the Bassment era to the Playa era.

Feel free to post any questions you may want to ask Smokey during the show, and I will try to incorporate them into the interview.

    What was an average day in the studio for Playa like?
    What advice would u give ppl who want to own their own independent record label?
    What advice would u give ppl who want to build their own home studio, make quality music,and distribute their music to the public (info regarding protection of copyrights, how to make a good home studio and etc..)

Released with no real promotion (but Louisville resident as i know, had this mixtape for a while), i guess lot of us didn't know about it until lately. This is for the hood lovers, got Lil Flip on it, Young Sears productions, it's OG Music here! We also got Playa songs on it. I guess Static wanted to give us just a taste of what Suppertime could be, the "Vol. 1" meaned it had to has other volume coming, but for this one like i said, it's OG Music except the last track... Taura "Aura" Jackson talks about "Crazy" and Static Major

I've posted some information on the blog exclusive joint "Crazy" by Aura already, but I figured it would make more sense if we heard it straight from her, because she was actually there. So here is the very talented Aura talking about the history of the track: I was signed to Atlantic at the time. Gee Roberson was my A&R and he manages Kanye. Kanye came to the studio and had forgotten his records, but I'm an avid Joni Mitchell fan and had some of her records there. It was like magic watching Kanye work. He crafted that beat like it was a priceless sculpture. When it started to come together Gee, who managed Static at that time too said "What do you think about Static co-writing with you?" Well, I was ecstatic, pun fully intended. Within an hour or so, Static came over.
