Music: Static Major - Eye Candy

I've been posting a bunch of rap tracks for everyone, but it's time I flip it back to R&B for a minute. This track was produced by Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins and also features a rap by Darkchild.

I don't really know a lot about this track, but notice how Rodney Jerkins says "Darkchild...Playa"? Does that mean this was going to be for Playa?

  1. Static did write this for Playa. The main reason that I wanted to share this track with you all is to show you how Static worked with every major producer in the game. Not only for other artist but for Playa as well. He always kept Playa in mind when ever he was doing something...

  2. Like he said, Static "MAJOR". He was so subliminal. Just like how he repped for Louisville by throwin our slang/lingo in his artists songs. Ill shit.

  5. is it possible for u to post downloads for this song as well as other Static Major songs that u post. A mixtape would be great! Whether free or not I would pay for it. Money could go to Static and Tim Barnett's organization which is named after Static's sister. Just a suggestion. Lifetime Static Fan.

  6. @Jasmine, most of the songs that we have posted are in the Music Download Center. You can find the link to it under "Additional Links". It's to the left of this page.

Music: Static Suppertime Mixtape Vol. 1 (2004) DOWNLOAD LINK

1. Stay Laced (Featuring Lil Flip) (4:14) 2. The Hood (Featuring Lil Flip) (3:41) 3. Rida (Featuring Lil Flip & Cassidy) (2:45) 4. She Say (Featuring Playa) (3:58) 5. Rollin (3:49) 6. Hard Tymez (Featuring Lil Flip) (2:40) 7. Weekend (Featuring Playa) (3:50) 8. Tipsy (3:23) I've heard back in 2005 somebody talk about that "Suppertime Mixtape", but i found it in 2008, & unfortunaly, the mixtape was just available in mp3 format. Released with no real promotion (but Louisville resident as i know, had this mixtape for a while), i guess lot of us didn't know about it until lately. This is for the hood lovers, got Lil Flip on it, Young Sears productions, it's OG Music here! We also got Playa songs on it. I guess Static wanted to give us just a taste of what Suppertime could be, the "Vol. 1" meaned it had to has other volume coming, but for this one like i said, it's OG Music except the last track... Edit: You can listen & buy the mixtape here U

Music: Static Major - Questions (Aaliyah's Demo) (UPDATE WITH FULL SONG)

As we all know, Static & Aaliyah were close, you can feel the chemistry between the writer and the singer, and Static most impressive talent was his ability to write for a woman, to express a woman's feeling. So there's the song "Questions" produced by Buddha, wrote & sung by Static, a demo song for Aaliyah, made around 2000-2001 i think. I don't know yet if she had the chance to record it for herself, but Static version shows his falsetto skills, he wrote for a woman, & even sing the demo like Aaliyah should sing it, amazing! Stay tune for a snippet listening, something rare that i'm sure you don't wanna miss! UPDATE: Here is the first installment of Static Music Monday.

Album: Playa - Throwback Legendz

I'm sure a lot of you have already heard most, if not all, of the album. Smokey has been selling it on his website and I've also been uploading the songs on Youtube. So instead of choosing one of those two options, we've decided to let everyone download this unreleased classic album for free. And I bet a lot of you could probably care less because you've heard every song already right? Wrong. Check out the final version of "Hollywood" that was not included in Smokey's unreleased Playa compilation. So consider this an exclusive courtesy of www.staticmajorismusic.com Big shout-out to Farid for hooking me up with this track and also the entire album in CDQ. http://www.4shared.com/file/H5qAKnAu/Playa_-Throwback_Legendz__2002.html
