  1. I'm gonna go with "Luv 2 Luv Ya." Really for me, I only like Static's part on "Lollipop." And I guess I really only like Playa's part on "Luv 2 Luv Ya," but their part is so smooth.

  5. gotta go with the classic, Luv 2 Luv Ya, that whole time period where the whole camp was really surfacing was probably one of my favorite times in music, both the original & the remix are crazy, and its funny this came up today, because I was just watching that Family Guy episode where Peter was going crazy over the bird bird bird record that Magoo quoted lol

  7. I just noticed Slam posted the original version of Luv 2 Luv Ya. I prefer the remix but I'll stand by my vote.

  8. Lollipop...#1 chart spot, made covers and remakes of the joint...Static set it off

  9. to Yung Major
Lollipop is a tight song, better yet a beast, but Static didn't need lil wayne to make that song a hit. Wayne really didn't give props to Static for putting him in the superstar status with Lollipop.

  10. @anonymous actually wayne always thanked static for that, not like he begged static for it anyway..they asked wayne whyd he cross-over to superstardom, he said he dint that static just gave him that

Music: Static Suppertime Mixtape Vol. 1 (2004) DOWNLOAD LINK

1. Stay Laced (Featuring Lil Flip) (4:14) 2. The Hood (Featuring Lil Flip) (3:41) 3. Rida (Featuring Lil Flip & Cassidy) (2:45) 4. She Say (Featuring Playa) (3:58) 5. Rollin (3:49) 6. Hard Tymez (Featuring Lil Flip) (2:40) 7. Weekend (Featuring Playa) (3:50) 8. Tipsy (3:23) I've heard back in 2005 somebody talk about that "Suppertime Mixtape", but i found it in 2008, & unfortunaly, the mixtape was just available in mp3 format. Released with no real promotion (but Louisville resident as i know, had this mixtape for a while), i guess lot of us didn't know about it until lately. This is for the hood lovers, got Lil Flip on it, Young Sears productions, it's OG Music here! We also got Playa songs on it. I guess Static wanted to give us just a taste of what Suppertime could be, the "Vol. 1" meaned it had to has other volume coming, but for this one like i said, it's OG Music except the last track... Edit: You can listen & buy the mixtape here U

Music: Static Major - Questions (Aaliyah's Demo) (UPDATE WITH FULL SONG)

As we all know, Static & Aaliyah were close, you can feel the chemistry between the writer and the singer, and Static most impressive talent was his ability to write for a woman, to express a woman's feeling. So there's the song "Questions" produced by Buddha, wrote & sung by Static, a demo song for Aaliyah, made around 2000-2001 i think. I don't know yet if she had the chance to record it for herself, but Static version shows his falsetto skills, he wrote for a woman, & even sing the demo like Aaliyah should sing it, amazing! Stay tune for a snippet listening, something rare that i'm sure you don't wanna miss! UPDATE: Here is the first installment of Static Music Monday.

Album: Playa - Throwback Legendz

I'm sure a lot of you have already heard most, if not all, of the album. Smokey has been selling it on his website and I've also been uploading the songs on Youtube. So instead of choosing one of those two options, we've decided to let everyone download this unreleased classic album for free. And I bet a lot of you could probably care less because you've heard every song already right? Wrong. Check out the final version of "Hollywood" that was not included in Smokey's unreleased Playa compilation. So consider this an exclusive courtesy of www.staticmajorismusic.com Big shout-out to Farid for hooking me up with this track and also the entire album in CDQ. http://www.4shared.com/file/H5qAKnAu/Playa_-Throwback_Legendz__2002.html
