If You Had the Choice, What Would Be Your Suppertime Tracklisting?

I think now would be a good time to put this out there since you all have had a chance to hear nearly a couple hundred Static songs at this point. So the question is, if you were in charge of putting together Suppertime, what would the track list be? I know it's going to be hard to decide, but let's limit it to 15 songs max. Also, even though we haven't included a few songs on the site like "Lova Lova" and "Won't Get Us Nowhere," if you have heard them feel free to include those on your list if you feel they would make the cut. I'm anxious to see what everyone is going to choose!

I think this tracklist would be a good introduction (to the casual fan) to the versatility (genius) of Static Major! Mixes some bangers with and slow/mid-tempo ballads. For me personally, I could make a 2CD album, maybe one disc uptempo songs and the other with ballads.

  8. I really don't think the track list would matter, when your dealing with an artist like static, you listen to him for his sound, his genius, his talent, which is relevant on every track.

1. Stay Laced (Featuring Lil Flip) (4:14) 2. The Hood (Featuring Lil Flip) (3:41) 3. Rida (Featuring Lil Flip & Cassidy) (2:45) 4. She Say (Featuring Playa) (3:58) 5. Rollin (3:49) 6. Hard Tymez (Featuring Lil Flip) (2:40) 7. Weekend (Featuring Playa) (3:50) 8. Tipsy (3:23) I've heard back in 2005 somebody talk about that "Suppertime Mixtape", but i found it in 2008, & unfortunaly, the mixtape was just available in mp3 format. Released with no real promotion (but Louisville resident as i know, had this mixtape for a while), i guess lot of us didn't know about it until lately. This is for the hood lovers, got Lil Flip on it, Young Sears productions, it's OG Music here! We also got Playa songs on it. I guess Static wanted to give us just a taste of what Suppertime could be, the "Vol. 1" meaned it had to has other volume coming, but for this one like i said, it's OG Music except the last track... Edit: You can listen & buy the mixtape here U

Music: Static Major - Questions (Aaliyah's Demo) (UPDATE WITH FULL SONG)

As we all know, Static & Aaliyah were close, you can feel the chemistry between the writer and the singer, and Static most impressive talent was his ability to write for a woman, to express a woman's feeling. So there's the song "Questions" produced by Buddha, wrote & sung by Static, a demo song for Aaliyah, made around 2000-2001 i think. I don't know yet if she had the chance to record it for herself, but Static version shows his falsetto skills, he wrote for a woman, & even sing the demo like Aaliyah should sing it, amazing! Stay tune for a snippet listening, something rare that i'm sure you don't wanna miss! UPDATE: Here is the first installment of Static Music Monday.

Album: Playa - Throwback Legendz

I'm sure a lot of you have already heard most, if not all, of the album. Smokey has been selling it on his website and I've also been uploading the songs on Youtube. So instead of choosing one of those two options, we've decided to let everyone download this unreleased classic album for free. And I bet a lot of you could probably care less because you've heard every song already right? Wrong. Check out the final version of "Hollywood" that was not included in Smokey's unreleased Playa compilation. So consider this an exclusive courtesy of www.staticmajorismusic.com Big shout-out to Farid for hooking me up with this track and also the entire album in CDQ. http://www.4shared.com/file/H5qAKnAu/Playa_-Throwback_Legendz__2002.html
