Music: Jamie Foxx - Can I Take U Home

One of the last Static/Timbaland connections ever but it was a hot one. An interesting fact about this track is Static was going to keep this track for himself. Other than "So Anxious" by Ginuwine, this might be favourite slow jam from the Static/Timbaland duo.

And here is the instrumental for everyone. You can hear a Jodeci type feeling all over this joint!

The hunt for Static Major's version of this track begins now.

  1. I remember when I first heard this on the radio i was practically screamin on niggas like "STATIC WROTE THAT NEW JAMIE JOINT!! U HEAR HIM AT THE BEGINNING AND AT THE END??!! PLUS U CAN JUST TELL BY THE WAY JAMIE'S SINGIN IT AND THE HARMONIES!!!" lol i was goin hard for Static's writin credits on this one!! lol...Jus a true fan holdin my nigga down...

  2. love this joint, Static's version would sound waaay better though.
an another note: does anyone know if Static really did a song with Timmoya, called I got it? the lyrics of that song are all over the internet (just google it), but I've never seen the actual song anywhere....

  3. This one s tight but the remix of so anxious which is So Anxious the anxiety remix is the bomb also.

  4. I agree^, the anxiety rmx is da shyt! And so is 'it's obvious' by Rell, written bt Static...I would LOVE to hear Static's version of that song!

I've heard back in 2005 somebody talk about that "Suppertime Mixtape", but i found it in 2008, & unfortunaly, the mixtape was just available in mp3 format.
Released with no real promotion (but Louisville resident as i know, had this mixtape for a while), i guess lot of us didn't know about it until lately.
This is for the hood lovers, got Lil Flip on it, Young Sears productions, it's OG Music here! We also got Playa songs on it.
I guess Static wanted to give us just a taste of what Suppertime could be, the "Vol. 1" meaned it had to has other volume coming, but for this one like i said, it's OG Music except the last track...

Edit: You can listen & buy the mixtape here
